Just tap the space bar, spin the mouse wheel or swipe upwards on a touch screen to reveal a regular login screen with the user name you created during installation. Enter your password to begin. 2. Basic navigation Windows 8 launches with its new interface, all colorful tiles and touch-friendly apps. And if you're using a tablet then it'll all be very straightforward: just swipe left or right to scroll the screen, and tap any tile of interest. On a regular desktop, though, you might alternatively spin the mouse wheel to scroll backwards and forwards. And you can also use the keyboard. Press the Home or End keys to jump from one end of your Start screen to the other, for instance, then use the cursor keys to select a particular tile, tapping Enter to select it. Press the Windows key to

How We Will Stop Boko Haram, By Muhammadu Buhari

Image
Being an opinion article by President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, as published in yesterday’s edition of New York Times. ABUJA— When Boko Haram attacked a school in the town of Chibok, in northeastern Nigeria, kidnapping more than 200 girls, on the night of April 14, 2014, the people of my country were aghast. Across the world, millions of people joined them in asking: How was it possible for this terrorist group to act with such impunity? It took nearly two weeks before the government even commented on the crime. This lack of reaction was symptomatic of why the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan was swept aside last month – the first time an incumbent president has been successfully voted out of office in the history of our nation. For too long they ruled, not governed, and in doing so had become so focused on their own self-interest and embroiled in corruption that the duty to react to the anguish suffered by their citizens had become alien to

Some military men took their electoral security duties a bit too far when they caught a young lady wearing bum-shorts to a polling unit for accreditation on Saturday, April 11, during the governorship elections in Lagos State and flogged her seriously. The incident happened on Mba Street in Ajegunle area of state, when the soldiers saw the a lady on her way back from the accreditation center and accosted her on why she should dress in such an indecent way. But the lady was said to have insulted the officers by calling them local and bush people who did not know what was in vogue. This was said to have angered the soldiers who descended on her and flogged her mercilessly and after that, made her to undergo some punishments like frog jumping and rolling on the road.

I Can't Promise My Government Will Find Missing Chibok Girls - Buhari

Image
President-elect, Gen Muhammadu Buhari says his incoming government cannot promise the return of missing Chibok girls but that they would do everything within their power to secure their return. He said this in a statement he released today April 13th to commemorate one year of the girls' abduction. The statement below... Today is a time to reflect on the pain and suffering of the victims, their friends and families. Our thoughts and prayers, and that of the whole Nigerian Nation, are with you today. I want to assure all of them, and particularly the parents, that when my new Administration takes office at the end of May, we will do everything we can to defeat Boko Haram. We will act differently from the Government we replace: we hear the anguish of our citizens and intend to respond accordingly. This new approach must also begin with honesty. We do not know if the Chibok girls can be rescued. Their whereabouts remain unknown. As much as I wish to, I cannot pr

Pastor Chris Oyakilome Did Not Ban Sinach From Singing In His Church - Husband

Award winning Gospel Singer, Osinachi Kalu aka Sinach has reportedly been banned from performing at Christ Embassy by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who is supposedly her “Anointed Father” Several sources claimed that there is a feud going on between the two and the bone of contention is Sinach’s marriage to a man Pastor Oyakhilome did not approve of. The ban reportedly took effect from the singer’s last performance at the last Experience concert which took place last year December. Other sources reveal that the true cause of the ban is because Pastor Oyakhilome strongly cautioned his staff against taking paid jobs outside the church, a violation of which brought the ban upon Sinach. Sinachs husband, Joe Egbu while speaking with Kemi Filani Blog threw the reports out the window saying they were mere fabrications. He said, “These are all lies from the pit of hell. None of those things written is true. Sinach is having a wonderful father-daughter relationship with our Pa

Korede Bello’s Invitation To Sing At Popular Church Attracts Criticism

Image
God Win crooner, Korede Bello’s invitation to sing at Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC) has drawn criticism from US-based, Pastor Olusola Fabunmi. The Mavin Records artiste was a special guest at the three services of the Lekki branch of the dynamic church under the leadership of its youthful shepherd, Pastor Bolaji Idowu. With back-up vocals from the praise team, Korede Bello thrilled the youthful church audience with a live performance of his popular anthem, God Win. For a moment, his brief performance sent the auditorium into frenzy. But Pastor Fabunmi is not thrilled by the artiste’s invitation to perform on a church alter. He quoted James 4:4, “Friendship with the world is enmity to God? Whosoever therefore will be friend of the world is enemy of God.” “Korede Bello is a young man I love personally, and have nothing against him. But it’s written here, that when we chose the way of the world, we have clearly chosen our paths; becoming an e

Pastor Chris Oyakilome Allegedly Bans Singer, Sinach From Singing In His Church

Image
Reports gathered by ReportNaija reveals that award winning Gospel Singer, Osinachi Kalu popularly known as Sinach has been banned from singing during services or any special occasion at Christ Embassy. We learnt that the newly married singer, who is regarded as Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s ‘anointed daughter’, got the shocking restriction from the pulpit after she performed at ‘The Experience’ last year december. Further investigation revealed that Pastor Chris, who is still caught in a messy divorce saga had warned his staff against serving two masters at same time. Thus, none of them is permitted to take an outside job as long as they still worship in his church. A reliable source close to the singer squealed to us that aside Sinach’s performance at The Experience, she also got the punishment because Pastor Oyakilome wasn’t in support of the man she married. “The Pastor placed an order that none of his staff is permitted to take outside jobs, despite the fact t

14 Evidences Of The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ

Image
JESUS’ EXISTENCE. That Jesus was a historical individual is granted by virtually all historians and is supported by ancient Christian, Jewish, and pagan sources. Yet modern skeptics often feel that their best strategy for denying the evidence of his resurrection is to deny that he even existed. JESUS’ DEATH. The most popular counter to the Resurrection in non-Christian and heretical beliefs is to deny that Jesus died on the cross (e.g., this is the position of Islam). However, historians regard the death of Jesus by crucifixion as ordered by Pontius Pilate to be as historically certain as any other fact of antiquity. CRUCIFIED MESSIAH. Crucifixion was a horrible, shameful way to die, so much so that it would never have occurred to anyone in the first century to invent a story about a crucified man as the divine Savior and King of the world. Something extreme and dramatic must have happened to lead people to accept such an idea—something like his rising from the

WHY AISHA BUHARI MAY NOT BE NIGERIA'S FIRST LADY

Image
Aisha Buhari might not be Nigeria’s next First Lady, at least not in the modern sense of the word. The term “First Lady” is an unofficial title for a President’s wife but in Nigeria, it has received near-official status due to the fact that funding and staff have been allocated to First Ladies since independence. However, the Nigerian Constitution does not in any way provide for the “office” of the First Lady. This was the reason given by President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari when he said during an interview with Daily Trust in December 2014 that there would be no such office during his regime. “ The [office of] First Lady is not in the constitution, so there’s no official role for them,” Buhari said. Mrs Buhari also expressed support for her husband’s position while speaking during the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Campaign Council in January. “When my husband is elected as the president of this country, he will rule the country within

Buhari’s Blue Print: ‘my First 100 Days In Office

Image
G eneral Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) published a public letter titled ‘my covenant’. The letter particulars what Nigerians should expect from Buhari’s first 100 days in office. Read letter below: My Covenant With Nigerians Dear Compatriots, In the past few months that I have traveled round this country on campaigns, I have experienced the sheer beauty of our diversity. From Port Harcourt to Kano, from Abeokuta to Gusau, I experienced first-hand the daily sufferings and struggles of our people. I also experienced the overwhelming desire of our people for change. When I arrived in Port Harcourt on the 5th of January to start my campaigns, I was met by our teeming supporters, who stayed till late in the evening to welcome us. Among them were many young men and women, who in the few minutes that I shared with them at the airport, made me to reflect on what kind of future awaits them in our country. The gestures of 90-year-old Hajia Fadimatu Mai Talle Tara from Kebbi State and

HEY! DO YOU THINK YOU CAN'T GET THE CONVERSATION GOING? WHY NOT TRY CHECK THIS OUT

Image
One of the most frustrating things I have ever experienced around a girl, is if I and her run out of things to talk about. Since you found this post I assume you know what I’m talking about, and maybe you are interested in learning how to avoid awkward silence. I’m thinking about the teeth pooling moments where the awkward silence just takes over the situation, you are just sitting their smiling while desperately in your mind scrambling for something just mildly interesting say, but you just can think of anything, you mind is a total black out, you can’t even remember your own name at this point. Finally you hear yourself saying something completely uninteresting, like: “sooo.. do you come here often”, she says “no its my first time!” And then the conversation dries up once again, the awkward silence start to eat you both up from the inside until one of you can’t stand the social pressure and thus make up some excuse to leave. It’s a horrible horrible situation
